Analytical Systems Sales representative
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To promote the sale of the
company's Analytical products within assigned territory in order to meet
budgeted sales goals, covering the territory in its entirety by performing the following
duties. Other duties that fall within the skill requirement of the job
may be assigned.
1. Travels throughout assigned territory to call on
established
and prospective customers to create demand for Brinkmann Analytical products
and/or solicit orders. This activity includes both personal visits and
contact by phone.
2. Follows up and processes sales leads, based on
information received from company trade shows, marketing campaigns, telephone
inquiries and other sources. Develops list of prospective customers on a
local level.
3. Demonstrates
product samples to end user customers.
4. Trains
distributor personnel on proper function and usage of
selected Brinkmann products.
This will include demo techniques, use of literature, pricing, etc.
5. Attends trade
exhibits and distributor shows for the purpose of promoting products.
6. Maintains and
updates company data as requested on the B&E Network.
7. Maintains for
the company customer files and distributor
personnel lists on a current basis.
8. Responsible for
proper maintenance of company leased vehicles and company equipment.
9. Motivates and
assists distributor sales personnel to increase
sales of Brinkmann Analytical
products.
10. Provides their
supervisor required documentation on a timely basis: including time sheets,
expense reports, itinerary, market/product questionnaires, etc.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor of Science degree from a four-year college
or university; and one to two years' related sales experience and/or training,
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE/COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals,
professional journals, technical
procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write business
correspondence and reports. Ability to effectively present information
and respond to questions from customers, and company personnel.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and
amounts such as discounts, commissions, percentages, and volume. Ability
to apply concepts of basic algebra and the metric system.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems
and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to interpret a variety of
instructions
furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Proficiency in the
following computer
applications: Windows, Word, and Excel.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid drivers
license required.
Must maintain a good driving record. Good credit
standing and credit
card to pay business travel expenses.
