We currently have positions open for technical aides to assist in the development of new technologies at 3M.  Applicants should be able to work during the current semester and continue to work throughout the summer of 2006, with the possibility of continuing to work the next academic year.

Responsibilities include performing various chemical and mechanical testing, with an emphasis on polymeric materials and different coating
technologies.  In addition, this position requires someone who is dependable, creative, very organized, self-directed, eager to learn, and detail oriented.  During the summer, this position will be temporarily full-time (40 hrs/wk).  During the academic year, it will be part-time (10- 15 hrs/wk).
