2D NMR Spectroscopy
Usefull
for determining multiplicity and C-H coupling constants for closely spaced 13C
signals.
2D Heteronuclear
(H,C)-Correlated NMR Spectroscopy (H,C-COSY or HETCOR)
Correlates
13C signals with 1H signals. Tells
you which carbons are attached to which hydrogens. Useful when you can assign a 1H signal but not the 13C
signal or vice versa.
2D Homonuclear
(H,H)-Correlated NMR (H,H-COSY)
Correlates
coupled 1H signals. Tells you all
the protons which are coupled to any particular proton. Useful in determining connectivity.
Correlates
coupled 13C signals (13C-13C) Only
one bond couplings are detected, so it gives you the connectivity of all the
carbons.
